Pharr, Texas – The City of Pharr proudly celebrates Veteran’s Day this November 12 with an all day patriotic event. The city will be honoring the men and women who have served and who are currently serving in the United States Military with our signature Veteran’s Day parade.

The celebration will commence at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon for veterans and their families at First Baptist Church of Pharr located on 400 W. Ridge Rd.

Following the luncheon, the City of Pharr will honor all those who have served at the annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Pharr. A plethora of beautifully decorated floats and performances will trail down Cage Blvd. The parade begins on Polk St. and Cage Blvd and follows southbound towards Sam Houston Blvd. The City of Pharr would like to invite all attendees to participate in a Pharr Viewer’s Choice Award, where you can vote for your favorite float!

It wouldn’t be a patriotic event without fireworks to light up the night sky. There will be a firework show at Liberty Middle School located at 1212 S. Fir St. in Pharr. Tune in to 710 am KURV at 7 p.m. to pair up patriotic music with the display in the sky.

The Veteran’s Day event will conclude with a post firework concert at American Legion featuring bands Sueno Tejano and Southern Ashes. American Legion is located at 417 S Cage Blvd, Pharr. The concert will end at 10:00p.m.

Veterans Day is a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars. For more information on this parade or information on building a float and showing your support for our veterans, please contact the Boggus Ford Event Center at (956) 402-4500.
