How and When to Apply for CDBG Funds
CDBG funds are awarded once a year in August, with funds generally available for spending on October 1. The applications are available from January 11, 2017, through February 17, 2017. The CDBG staff conducts workshops to explain eligibility requirements and to provide technical assistance. All funded projects/activities must benefit low/moderate income Pharr individuals. Public hearings/meetings will be held beginning January 30, 2017, through May 11, 2017, to provide information and to obtain public participation for the program. The deadline for this year’s applications is February 17, 2017, at 5:00 p.m.
