With the Pharr Connect Digital Literacy Program, you’ll learn vital digital skills to help you handle, manage, & navigate technology & the internet. Our courses are made to cater to adult learners, teaching you about technology from the ground, up.
What course is right for me?
The Pharr Connect Digital Literacy Program offers different levels to accommodate the needs of a wide range of students. If you have no experience, some experience, or know your stuff but need a refresher, we have just the class for you!
Beginner
For students who have limited previous experience, or for those who have never used a computer or the internet.

Intermediate
For students with some previous experience who need some support using computers or the internet.

Proficient
For knowledgeable students comfortable with technology who want to reinforce their skills or need a refresher.

- foundational Microsoft Word & Excel skills

- managing& understanding your digital footprint

All classes are held twice a week on alternating days and may be available in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Schedule varies by cohort and is subject to change. Who can enroll in the program?
Our program is for adult learners over the age of 18 that are residents of the City of Pharr.
Where are classes held?
Currently our classes are being held at our main location at 104 W Polk Ave Pharr TX 78577 – Pharr Connect Innovation & Technology Center.
Can I join the program if I don't live in Pharr?
At the moment, we are only offering our program to Pharr residents, but we are excited to consider extending participation to other cities in the Rio Grande Valley in the future!
Do I need a laptop to participate in class?
Not at all! We provide everything you need for class, so there’s no need to bring your own device. Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm to learn!
Do I need to know how to use a computer to take part in class?
Not at all! The Beginner course is perfect for students who have little to no epxerience using computers. Our classes are designed to meet you wherever you are in your learning journey
Can I attend these classes online?
We do not currently offer classes online. Our classes are in person to ensure you receive hands-on guidance and personalized assistance and support.
What happens if I can't make it to class?
Life happens, and we understand! Simply give our office a call at 956-402-2000 and let us know you’re a student who needs to miss class. We’ll work with you to schedule a make-up session so you don’t fall behind.
Can my children attend class with me?
Due to limited space and to maintain an optimal learning environment, we do not allow children in during classes.
