State of the City Address 2023
Dear Friend of Pharr,
It’s hard to believe that this year marks our 7th anniversary of hosting the City of Pharr’s State of the City Address. Together, we
have been through so much during these years. We have witnessed Pharr’s unprecedented and phenomenal growth, we
endured a global pandemic, and we continue to perform, persevere, and prosper. Pharr continues to be a strong regional
leader and driving economic force in our region, the state, the nation, and across the globe, and we are grateful to have the
support from so many of our partners like you who help contribute to Pharr’s success.
This year, we are proud to announce that this January, we will once again celebrate the City of Pharr’s 7th Annual 2023 State of the City on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Pharr EMS Headquarters (3000 N Cage Blvd., Pharr, Texas). As has been customary, we look forward to your participation in helping to make this year’s event a success, because we have much to celebrate.
As 2023 approaches, we are at the dawn of a new era in regard to advances made in technology, infrastructure, trade, economic
development, and much more. In coordination with our local, state, and federal partners, Pharr has emerged as a leader for its
efforts to ensure that our area receives our fair share of funding, attention, and resources for our many innovative initiatives that
are improving the quality of life for Pharr and its surrounding communities. We look forward to sharing our annual
accomplishments and future goals with our partners and stakeholders at this year’s State of the City address.
