Pharr EMS Partners with Valley Hospitals for Stop the Bleed Event
Pharr, Texas – The City of Pharr and Pharr EMS will be partnering with area hospitals and agencies to host a Stop the Bleed event.
These courses will be offered TODAY, Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the Pharr ONE building (1121 E. Nolana Loop, Pharr, Texas 78577). A total of three classes will be offered and start at the following times: 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm.
According to the National Trauma Institute, hemorrhaging is responsible for 35% of pre-hospital deaths and 40% of deaths in the first twenty-four hours after a traumatic event. By learning proper bleeding control techniques, everyone can help save a life during the most critical moments.
Training courses are FREE and open to the public.
