How and When to Apply for CDBG Funds

CDBG funds are awarded once a year in August, with funds generally available for spending on October 1. The applications are available from February 1, 2025 through April 30, 2025. The CDBG staff conducts workshops to explain eligibility requirements and to provide technical assistance. All funded projects/activities must benefit low/moderate income Pharr individuals.

Public hearings/meetings will be held beginning February 1, 2025 through July 15, 2025, to provide information and to obtain public participation for the program as part of the Annual Action Plan submittal.

The deadline for this year’s applications is May 2, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
