City of Pharr to Host Memorial Day Ceremony Honoring Our Fallen Heroes, TOMORROW, FRI 5/22 @ 9 AM

Thursday, May 21, 2026

Pharr, Texas – The City of Pharr invites the community and members of the media to attend its annual Memorial Day Ceremony honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

The ceremony will take place TOMORROW, Friday, May 22, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Memorial Park (501 W. Egly Ave.), in Pharr, Texas.

The program will feature a special presentation by the Lyndon B. Johnson Middle School Choir, who will lead attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem. Special remarks will also be delivered by local elected officials as the community comes together to remember and honor our nation’s fallen heroes.

This year, the City of Pharr will proudly pay tribute to fallen soldier Lance Corporal Julio Cisneros Alvarez for his service, sacrifice, and dedication to our country.

This event is free and open to the public and media.
