May 2021 Election Notice (H.B. 305)
The Texas State Legislature passed House Bill 305 on June 14, 2019 and becomes effective on September 1, 2019. The bill requires that a political subdivision, with the authority to impose a tax that at any time on or after January 1, 2019, maintained a publicly accessible Internet website, shall include certain information, including information regarding upcoming elections, on that web site pursuant to the effective date.

April 1st | 5:00 p.m. Last day a person may register to vote in the May 1, 2021 Election. Registration forms are available at City Hall or at the Hidalgo County Voter Registrar’s Office (318-2570) in Edinburg. |
April 19th | Early voting by personal appearance begins at Jose “Pepe” Salinas Memorial Civic Center (1011 W. Kelly, Pharr, Texas); and Development & Research Center (850 W. Dicker Rd.). |
April 20th | 5:00 p.m. – Last day Early Voting Clerk can receive applications for a mail ballot to be received via U.S. Mail, or common/contract carrier. |
