Fire prevention is the most effective means for reducing loss of life and property due to fire. The Pharr Fire Department Fire Prevention Division, headed by the Fire Marshal, works closely with design professionals, contractors, building owners and managers, to promote and ensure compliance with all 2018 International Fire Codes and NFPA standards. Fire inspections and permits are tools used by the fire prevention personal to ensure that Pharr is safe for all citizens and visitors.
