What are your library hours?
Library Hours
Pharr Memorial Library (PML):
- Mon-Thurs: 9:00am—9:00pm
- Fri and Sat: 9:00am —6:00pm
- Sunday: 1:00pm—6:00pm
South Pharr Library (DRC):
- Mon — Thurs: 10:00am—7:00pm
- Friday: 10:00am—6:00pm
- Sat and Sun: 1:00pm-5:00pm
Does the library offer any programs or events?
Yes! The Pharr Memorial Library Offers Different Events for All Ages. Please Refer to Our Children's Page and Our Reference Page to Find out More.
How do I get a library card?
Patrons residing in the city of Pharr or any other city in the Hidalgo County are eligible for a library card.
- There is no charge for a patron's first library card.
- A replacement card, if lost, stolen or damaged will be $3.00. (Cash Only)
To obtain a library card, the following documents are required: - Any government-issued DL/ID
- Proof of current mailing address:
→ Telephone bill
→ Utility bill
→ Rental/lease contract
→ Recent mail (last 30 days) with name and current address.
→ Voter registration card
→ Current auto insurance card
What materials can I borrow?
Patrons may borrow Books, DVD's, Audiobooks,
How many items can I borrow at a time?
Patrons may check out a maximum of 14 items:
- Books, DVDs and Audiobooks are able to circulate.
- Only 3 DVDs/Audiobooks may be checked out at a time.
- Patrons must be 18 years of age to check out DVDs and Audiobooks.
Patrons are responsible for any fees for items charged to their account.
Items borrowed must be returned on due date to avoid an overdue fee.

• Items returned without a security card will be fined 50¢ per missing card.
Do you offer Wi-Fi?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available at both of our locations, provided by TeamPharr.net
Is there computer's available for the public?
Yes, we do have computers on both of our locations that any Patron can use.

If more time is needed, a Patron will have to request an extension
