The City of Pharr is creating a new comprehensive plan—Our Pharr: Our Future—and we need the community to be part of it. A comprehensive plan is a long-term roadmap that guides how the city will grow and change over the next 10 years. It covers important topics like land use, housing, transportation, parks, infrastructure, and public services.
This is about more than maps and zoning—it’s about what kind of place Pharr should be in the future, and how we get there together. The plan will be shaped by community input, and your voice is a critical part of the process!
But what is a comprehensive plan?
A comprehensive plan is a long-term guide for the growth of a city that expresses the values and aspirations of the community and helps decision makers create policy choices that have the future of the city in mind.
Our Pharr: Our Future is about working together to find the best ways to achieve a prosperous future for Pharr by developing a vision, creating goals, enabling action, and measuring outcomes that serve that purpose.
