Notice to Residents of the City of Pharr

Waste Management would like to take the time for a friendly reminder on the brush schedule and garbage service procedures for City of Pharr residents. The city is divided into 4 separate sections targeting 1 section per week within a set month for brush service. Below is a list of brush and garbage service information to ensure proper pick up in your scheduled area.

Do’s and Don’ts on Brush pickup:

    1. Do Not Place Brush Near Walls, Fences,
      Gas Meters, Water Meters, or Telephone Boxes

      ***Residents will be responsible for repairs should
      damage occur due to resident neglect.
    2. Do Not Pile Loose Grass or Small Brush Clippings.
      ***Bag loose grass or small brush clippings to avoid
      scattering.
    3. Do Not Place Brush or Any Type of Debris on Empty Lots
      ***Place Brush on designated areas for pickup (curb or alley)
      ***Any trash/brush on empty lots will not be serviced.
    4. Do Not Park Car or Truck Close to Brush.
      ***To avoid service interruption, park car or truck away from brush area.
    5. DO NOT PLACE CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS, BRICKS, OR CONCRETE OUT FOR COLLECTION. ALSO NO TIRES, BATTERIES, OR REFRIGERATION UNITS WILL BE COLLECTED UNLESS PROPERLY TAGGED FOR FREON REMOVAL.
    6. Do Not Leave Brush Inside Property.

Notice to Residents of the City of Pharr

General Information on Garbage Service:

  1. Please have your WM (Waste Management) cart out (curbside) by 7:00 am to ensure pick up.
  2. One 96-gallon cart is issued to the residents and
    is serviced one (1) time per week.
    **Only the trash that is placed in the WM container
    will be picked up.
  3. For occasional trash overflow, bags with the WM logo
    may be purchased at City Hall. The price of the bags
    will be $1.00 per bag. The trash placed in these WM bags
    should be placed next to the cart and will be picked up
    along with the 96-gallon container on your scheduled
    pick up day.
  4. Additional carts may be requested at City Hall for an additional charge per month for each extra container requested.
    **Call 956-402-4151 to request the additional container.
  5. Replacement fees may be assessed for lost, stolen or
    damaged 96-gallon carts.
