Our Mission

Our mission is to effectively maintain and develop public infrastructure and facilities, and to provide services to the community to achieve common social, economic, and environmental desires. Public Works takes a proactive approach towards sustainability by altering methods of transportation, energy consumption, urban planning, and sustainable architecture to preserve and enhance the city for future generations. 

Our Goals

• Improving Public Services – Deliver high-quality services to meet the needs of the community with courtesy and professionalism. 

• Implementing a Preventive Maintenance Program – Proactively maintain infrastructure, equipment and public assets to extend their lifespan, reduce costly repairs, and improve service reliability.  

• Maintaining Infrastructure – Ensure the safety and reliability of roads through regular maintenance while meeting the needs of the community in the future. 

• Complying with Environmental and Quality Standards – Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and standards in stormwater, air quality, and wastewater to ensure safe and sustainable public works operations.
